With great economic,ecological and social value,mangrove iS a unique part of the world'S ecosystem.If there are no mangroves,then the sea will have no meaning.It is like a tree without roots,for the mangroves are the roots of the sea.Unfortunately,most of US have not recognized the urgent situation of mangroves protection nowadays.One target of the article is to awaken public consciousness.The article begins with the definition of mangrove and wetland. According to present the severity of destroy and the lack of laws and regulations,the author means to emphasize the importance,necessity and urgency of mangroves protection Subsequently,the article analyses the international environmental principles of mangroves protection,including relevant systems.In the third part,the article lays more on the fulfillment of states'obligations from Ramsar Convention and the Convention on Biological Diversity,and the role of four major international organizations in this field.What'S more,several measures for financial support are suggested.Finally,the article illustrates the supervision system·...
