The main purpose of this paper is to discuss John rawls' specific reasoning about how a fair just well-ordered society is possible, and as this issue the controversy triggered in discussions. In A theory of Justice, rawls thinks, the reason why "the stability problem" emerge is due to a fair and just a well-ordered society may be less stable:from the point of view of original position, the principles of justice on the whole is reasonable, rawls in the first part of A theory of Justice has answered this question; But after removing the veil of ignorance, people havae the conception of the unique rational good. as long as a person willing to, they often can use the other cooperation to fight for his more benefit, therefore, fair arrangement might not be in balance in. to ensure stability, people must have a sense of justice and this sense of justice is consistent with the conception of the unique rational good. So the sense of justice make people abide by the rules, and the fair justice system is stable. In order to solve the stability problem, in the third part of A theory of Justice, rawls developed unique good theory, discussing the process the members of the fairness and justice society obtain the sense of justice, finally I demonstrate the sense of justice is rational, namely, the sense of justice is a kind of good, so a fair justice well-ordered society isstable for the right reason. In Political Liberalism, based on fact of Rational pluralism of modern democratic society, rawls points out the well-order social idea is not realistic, because citizens may not generally recognize agree any kind of complete doctrine. Consequently, rawls provide a new argument for the stability problems. The problem Political liberalism will solve is:the modern democratic society has the different kinds of rational religious doctrine, philosophical theory and moral theory, which produces profound differentiation of society,so how may such society have a stability, how how can they continue? In other words, the complte doctrines are rational but standoff with each other,so how may they exist together and consistently agree aconstitutionalism political idea? Therefore, rawls explains the fair justice conception as the independent viewpoint about this problem:it is political, rather than metaphysical; Rawls put forward the concept of overlapping consensus to ensure well-order social unity and stable. By this overlapping consensus, various kinds of rational doctrines from their respective point of view recognized this political conception justice. Social unity is based on the overlapping consensus. In the article, I also discusses the issues surrounding the discussion on the stability, demonstrating the argument:stability plays an important part in the demonstration in the rawls'justice theory, and the argument for stability is a moral argument putting forward further requirements for political defense, not as some critics say is practical in political issues.
