The famous American philosopher John Rawls, born in1921in the United States,died in2002, he is one of the most representative figures of the twentieth centuryWestern political philosophy category. In his political and philosophical theories, oneof the biggest characteristics is that his theory on the contemporary society, apluralistic democratic society free of political and cultural background, limited in thefield of political justice, to diversify understanding of the facts, as a reasonablydiversified. Compared to some scholars, the writings of John Rawls and not that much,but in a small number of works, there are two very important book: one in the adventof the "Theory of Justice" in1971, this monograph, the development of modernWestern society, especially the development of ethics has a crucial turning point.
