With significant structural changes globally, every country focuses on strengthening research on international strategic thoughts and international strategies. The international strategic ideology of Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin concentrated on foreign affairs practical experiences, based on China's conditions and strategic demand and global themes. Both Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zimin belong to the complete scientific system of international strategic thoughts tempered with Chinese Characteristics. International strategic thoughts with Chinese characteristics accord with not only global affairs, but also China's practice and are the guidelines of participating in international competition to realize national profit. The thesis reviews the relations between China and the world, analyses in depth similarities and differences of Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's international strategic thoughts; formulates the relationship between them; summarizes the common disciplines and experiences. Both Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin pursued independent development; fought against hegemony and sought to protect world peace; considered the changing global and domestic situation; inherited and developed the international strategic thoughts during Sinicization of Marxism; and played an important role in promoting world peace. Generalizing experiences on drawing up international strategic is a long-lasting reference of obtaining a favorable international environment and protecting China's national profits as well as furthering peaceful global development.
