Comrade Mao Zedong is not only a great proletarian revolutionary, politician and theorist in China, but also an excellent educationalist of cadre education in the history of Chinese contemporary education. Since the beginning of the new-democratic revolution, Mao Zedong paid close attention to the work of cadre education. He always exercised the Marxist stand, viewpoint and method, And from the historical perspective and the forefront of the times, he creatively integrated the cadre education theory of Marxism-Leninism with the concrete practice of the Chinese cadre education, and gradually it came into being the Mao Zedong's Cadre Education Thoughts. To analyze the Mao Zedong's Cadre Education Thoughts has important revelatory function in the aspects of doing well the Chinese Communist Party's cadre education task, producing a contingent of high-caliber officials.This thesis includes three parts. The first, it starts with defining corresponding concepts, and then the classic Marxist writer's Cadre Education Thoughts are clarified. The cadre education doctrine of Marx and Engels, cadre education theory of Lenin and Stalin are included. Later, based on the investigating of Mao Zedong's cadre education practice during the period of the new-democratic revolution, the stages of development of Mao Zedong's Cadre Education Thoughts are established, which includes four stages of sprouting, formation, maturity, and continued development. The second, the essential connotation of Mao Zedong's Cadre Education Thoughts has been expatiated on, and the following six components are comprised: perceptivity of significance, objectives and task, guidelines and principles, contents, approaches and method, and team construction. Finally, it has been accomplishe to summarize the characteristics of Mao Zedong's Cadre Education Thoughts that involve its features of the times, the practicalness, and the universality. On this basis it also probes into the contemporary value of Mao Zedong's Cadre Education Thoughts.
