During the period of the new democratic revolution, Mao Zedong, with his unique revolutionary wisdom, not only recognized the peasant is the main force, but also recognized further that the peasant's education was the major measure to play the main force role of the peasant, and had close relation with the fail and success of the new democratic revolution. Mao Zedong paid more attention to the peasant's education and in the course of the exploring of the peasant's education and the practice, formed Mao Zedong's thought of peasant's education in the period of the new democratic revolution. The paper gives an analysis of the following contents of that thought: it's recognizable source, it's theoretical source and the base of practice. Then the paper explains the basic contents of the thought, including its strategic position, its aims, its educational principle, it's educational contents, its educational ways and means and the measures of practice. Finally, the paper summarizes the four characteristics as follows: it's features of the times, the nature of the people, the practicality and the principle of man. Additionally, the thesis also analyzes the key point of Mao Zedong's thought of the peasant's education in the period of the new democratic revolution: the education of military, which emphasizes the features of the times of the thought. So Mao Zedong's thought of the peasant's education in the period of the new democratic revolution has certain theoretical significance and the practical significance.
