Since the 20th century, Turkey and China as two civilizations with a long history, their diplomatic history has not been lacking in setbacks. From the grim experiences of the Korean War to the different standpoints on"East Turkistan"issue, to the confrontation between two countries'industries and Turkey's trade deficit which remains high, in short, Turkish-Sino bilateral relations always had problems, and these problems hindered the development of diplomatic relations between Ankara and Beijing. Especially, because of different stands between two governments on"East Turkistan"issue, so that this problem has always been a direct factor of preventing bilateral relations developing to a higher level.On the other hand, because Turkey needs Chinese market, and also hopes to take China's support for some issues while China is a permanent member in United Nations, also took series of measures on"East Turkistan"issue. Therefore, this article starts from review of the history of bilateral relations, we need to understand the basic factors of its policy development and review the history of bilateral relations, systematically researches the origin and changes of Turkish Government's"East Turkistan"policy, and at the same time make implementations on background and results of these policies as much as possible. Despite there are still some divergences between the two countries, but they also have great potential and power for development of relations. If the"East Turkistan"successfully resolved, strategic partnership between Turkey and China will have broader prospects.
