| In our country, agricultural production units mainly depend on independent famer households, which causes most famers'weak resistance against natural disasters, so risk safeguard is in an urgent need. However, with no laws to abide by, the development of agricultural insurance is restricted by the vacuum of agricultural insurance law. Based on realistic national conditions of our agricultural insurance development, this thesis analyzes and reflects problems occurred while developing agricultural insurance, borrows useful experience from abroad and explores our own legal system, in order to help to legislate future agricultural insurance law and set up the legal system to safeguard the smooth operation and positive development of agricultural insurance industry and its market, as well as promoting the sustainable development of agriculture business.
