Virginian colonial social model provided important experience to the establishment of the American Republic's political model. It is naturally very important to study Virginian political history and the development of its parliamentary system, which is of profound meaning to understand American political history and the origin of American parliamentary system.This thesis strives to present an overall understanding of the establishment, development, evolvement and historical position of Virginian parliamentary system. The author tries to use Marxist philosophical analysis and also historical and political analysis, with reference to the achievement of the former scholars, profoundly analyses the influence of British social cultural tradition and the history of British political development on the setting, evolvement and historical position of Virginian parliamentary system.This article is divided into three parts. The first part is an introduction, presenting the reasons for choosing this topic, the arrangement, foreign and domestic research trends. The second part is the main body of the article and the third part is a conclusion. The main body consists of three chapters. The first chapter analyses the birth, setting and social origin of Virginian parliamentary system. The second chapter clarifies the evolvement and characteristics of Virginian parliamentary system. The third chapter summarizes the historical position and meaning of Virginian parliamentary system.This thesis argues that the setting and the following evolvement of Virginia colonial parliament is the continuation of British civil political and economical struggles in North America,it is also the result of the colonial groups'power struggle. The evolving history of Virginian colonial parliamentary system provides useful teaching material to the development of American political culture, and it has an extremely important historical value.
