A Theoretical Research On The Evolution Of The Relationships Between State And Society In Contemporary China

The relationships between state and society are in the status of the dynamic development in contemporary China's modernization process. How did they evolved and what will the trends of them be? The author puts forward the mentality and ways about construction of the benign relationships between state and society by pursuing the evolution context of the relationships between state and society in contemporary China. These viewpoints take the historical materialism and the socialism theory with Chinese characteristics as the instruction, take political theory as analysis angle of view, and keep a foothold on development reality of contemporary Chinese state and society.The first part discusses the changes course and characteristics of the relationships between state and society from the founding of the People's Republic of China to the"cultural revolution". The author takes the theoretical framework of state and society as analysis tools, summarizes four characteristics and analyzes the advantages and the disadvantages of the mode of the relationship between state and society in that period by interpreting the theories and practices of relationships among state and economy, state and city society, state and rural society, state and civil.The second part discusses the adjustment and evolution of the relationships between state and society after the China's reform and opening up. The author summarizes the characteristics and disadvantages of the relationships between them in that period by interpreting the theory and practice taken place in China about China's politics, economics, urban society, and rural society and citizens since the reform and opening up ,and points out the essence of reform.The author finally proposes the theoretical reflections about constructing benign relationships between state and society. Only made the state and the society to form positive interaction and mutual shaping each other by the combination of the State's leading role and the social autonomy role, and on the basis of ensuring relative separation and mutual penetration between them, can we finally realize the harmonious coexistence between the common interests represented by the state and the special interests defended by the society.
