International structure is the theoretically and practically important issue in the Theory of International Relations, attracting numerous attention and continual consideration. Since structural realism constructed by Kenneth N. Waltz, theories of international structure have been taking the remarkable position and acting the important role, and have become the fundamental theoretical approaches to understanding the world today. International structure, as an important proportion of Theory of International Relations, is also a basic precondition when making strategic choices. However, the controversy and confusion about international structure is obvious, so it's significant and necessary to analyze and consider the issues of international structure carefully.Focused on the term of international structure, the thesis differentiates between international structure and international pattern and brings forward perspectives about concept, connotation, character, function and evolvement of international structure.
