In the new century, the global economic integration process is accelerating constantly. Information technology develops swiftly and fiercely and is extensively applied in all industries. The society is striding into knowledge economy from industry economy. MIS has become a glistening point of all-orientation management. The competition in pulp and paper industry is very fierce. The advantage of large scale in this industry is remarkable. The competence of pulp and paper enterprise mainly relys on cost advantage as well as difference advantage. Then considering of competition stratagem and management standardization, many of them feel that they need an information tool to enhance the core competence. ERP is a choice. Being based on information technology, ERP is a management platform, which provides decision-making operating methods for enterprises decision-makers and staff with systematic management ideology. But the implementation of ERP is a systematic project, which requires not only relatively large investment, but also good management and good staff for its compact relationship with the whole management of an enterprise. It is not an easy job. This thesis provides an analysis of the application process of ERP in Huxing Paper Industrial Co. Ltd., a medium-sized enterprise, describes its application background, process and results, discusses with emphasis the following several questions: As a paper and pulp enterprise, how should it carry out the programming of ERP system; How to analyze the requirement of the enterprise making reference to the requirement project; How to carry out the selection of types; How to choose appropriate application consulting company and application supervising company; How to recompose business flow; How to establish effective...
