The Internet is born in the information revolution. It plays new medias, amazing communication systems and a cyber community and starts a new era in which the global politics, economy, culture and thoughts are all experiencing an epoch-making transformation. So many merits the Internet has: the limitless resources of information, the efficient and timely spread, and the multi-path information flow. But just as a coin has two sides, the Internet also poses challenges to the security of information and the security of ideology. We cannot ignore the ideology considering the national security. The security of ideology consists of the security of the guideline of the social development, the security of the political belief in the society, the security of the moral system and the security of the national spirit. The ideology has always been behind the curtain of the international relations. Many new problems come to the surface with many new opportunities. In my article, after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the influences of the Internet on the ideology, and after studying the historical development of the ideology in the international relations, I put forward several suggestions about how to protect the security of the ideology in China.
