Study On Agriculture Standardization And Its Systems Construction In Henan Province

The setup of a functional and advanced standardization system, complying the international requirements, forms the basis for developing rural economy and rural society, regulating economic order of agricultural product markets and consummating economic system of agricultural product markets. It also renders fundamental functions in raising competing power of agricultural products, in building a wealthy society, in ensuring consumption security and in enhancing standard of living. With the reform and opening-up, the importance of agricultural standardisation is further emphasized. However, a real implementation of agricultural standardization spawns new problems under the new situation, requiring recognition and solution. It is only through a deep research of the agricultural standardization and a good command of current truth in its development that the adjustment of structure and the optimization of system can be achieved successfully.This article, on the basis of analysing the implementation of agricultural standardization in developed countries and using basic theories of agricultural standardization and economics, explores the necessity and importance of implementing agricultural standardization considering requirements from domestic and foreign markets as well as consummers. Meanwhile, combining the work done by early scholars, a detailed analysis of problems and hindrance which prevent the implementation of agricultural standardization in Henan Province is presented. Some general approaches and development targets are proposed as conclustions. Among them, the establishment of agricultural standard system and the establishment of inspection and supervision system of agricultural products, the establishment of quality certification system of agricultural products and the establishment of spreading and guarantee system of agricultural products, are the most vital and feasible solutions.
