| After middle term of nineteen eighties, the construction of China's telecom industry has entered into a high-speed developing period, and the business of data communication has become core business of different telecom enterprises. With the increase of competition and diversity of telecom products, the risk of operating project construction is increasing too. The proceeds are hard to be guaranteed only with investment decision. In terms of the new situation, FMEA, aimed to solve investment risk of project construction, was presented to daily project management (PM) with operation enterprise, and was becoming one of the most important methods to improve the success possibility and core competition ability by telecom operation enterprises.Since PM is one of the most important functions, selecting an appropriate analyzing method to promote level and effect of PM is and will still be the goal for Hunan Telecom. Based on the analysis of outside situation and self-characteristic of data communication of Hunan Telecom, the author analyzes the process of FMEA application of Hunan Telecom PM and presents ways to promote the techniques and effectiveness of Hunan Telecom PM.Firstly, this thesis sets forth the theory and background of FMEA , and then analyzes the existing situation of Hunan Telecom PM and the necessity of FMEA application. Thereafter, the thesis analyzes the application strategy of FMEA with concrete examples by Hunan Telecom and points out the major problems existing in its FMEA application, such as follows: no professional FMEA team, limited ability of PM manager , lack of support system for FMEA, etc. Based on foregoing analysis, for the purpose of fully realizing the value of FMEA, avoiding possible risk and improving success possibility, this thesis advances following suggestions: establishing FMEA phantom team, consummating information support system, adopting analyzing software and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness, etc. |
