Studies On Domestic Coastal Container Shipping Market

Our domestic coastal container shipping started at about 1956. That is much earlier than our international container shipping business. In the nearly past ten years, the increasing ranges of our international container shipping throughputs remained at about 25 percent annually. In estimate that, the trend will keep on going in the future. But inconsistently, the coastal shipping' s developments were not optimistic. It hadn' t rolled its hoop. It had gone through both progress and degeneracy. To date, it is still unsuitable with our economical constructions and the promotions of our shipping career.In this article, by studying the current circumstances of the international and domestic container shipping markets, the international and domestic coastal container shipping markets, and the ports and companies who are engaged in this industry, the author summarizes the points that need to be reinforced and questions to be avoided and suggestions on contributing to the grandness of our coastal container shipping career.In the first part of this dissertation, the author analyzes the current conditions of both international and domestic container shipping markets and the coastal container shipping markets; then comes with the integrated evaluation by using the method of clustering analysis on the companies who engaged in the industry. The following part is to summarize the questions existing and then gives out the solutions and suggestions. The last part is the prospects of the coastal container shipping.
