The Research On Protecting The Right To Privacy On Net

With the development of the internet ,people's traditional life style has been changed and the law protection of the right to privacy has been faced with new challenges. In this paper ,by using the law rules about the right to privacy of the main countries and areas and the definition of the right to privacy given by internal and external scholars, the conception and intension of the right to privacy is inquired into. And the conception ,characters and the contents of the right to privacy on internet are further analysed . All kinds of characters and forms of the right to privacy on internet violated are described and analysed . The current situations of protecting the right to privacy on internet in several countries and areas are discussed .At last according to our history tradition and cultural background ,the shortage of the existed law to protect the right to privacy on internet is investigated. Based on the external experience , the pattern which is mostly based on legislation and secondly on self-control of protecting the right to privacy on internet and several advice are also pointed out.The right to privacy on internet is produced on the basis of modern information technology quickly development. It has significant meaning to protect private area to avoid being harassed by modern scientific technology and uphold personal freedom and dignity.
