Research On Application Of Army Aviation In Information-based Warfare

The explosive development of information technologies and its application in the military domain have changed the pattern of warfare from machine-based to information-based. Facing this profound transformation, the 16^th national convention of CPC has proposed a definite outline to reconstruct our military forces: we must seize this historic opportunity and make efforts to accomplish the dual tasks of mechanization and IT application. The theme of our armies' reconstruction is building informational armies and winning information war.Army aviation is a key part to be built. However, compared with advanced countries' army aviation, ours is rather small in scale and relatively backward in equipment. So if it intend to play an essential role in the future information war, it is necessary to enhance its arms and equipment as well as theories. But in theory, there are few researches in applications of army aviation in future information war. Hence, on the combination of basic theories and real conditions in our army aviation, this thesis analyze the feasibility of army aviation and make sure about its status and function in future information war. Furthermore, it explores the specific applications of army aviation and operational command and security.
