At present, Marxism's localization in China has caused great concern in the Chinese academic circle. But the previous researches either focus on the process of Marxism's localization in chronological order or on some specific field. This thesis focuses on how Marxism was localized in China in 1950's. The author refers to not only the works of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao Ze-dong, Deng Xiao-ping, Chen Yun, Zhou En-lai, etc but also those of the other scholars. In addition the author surveys the practice of the revolution and construction in that times. The conclusion is that 1950's is a historical period when the Chinese Communist Party led by Mao Ze-dong made great contributions to China owing to the fact that the essential political system, economic system of the contemporary China were made during that period such as the People's Democratic Dictatorship, the National People's Congress, the Chinese People's Political Consultativ e Conference, the minority's autonomy and the socialist public ownership, etc, which combine Marxism and the Chinese revolutionary practice. These systems have been playing significant roles in our society. After the socialist system's establishment, the Communist Party of China led by Mao Ze-dong, integrating the basic principles of Marxism into the Chinese socialist building, put forward a lot of original ideas about how to build China's socialism. These insightful ideas are the Chinese Communist Party's new contributions to Marxism's localization in China as well as the theoretical foundations of Deng Xiao-ping Thought. All these contributions offer very important historical heritage for pushing forward Maxism's localization in China.
