Study Of Ideological And Political Theory Teaching In Long-Distance Higher Education

The teaching of ideological and political theory is an important component of long-distance higher education. It prepares the learners with good political and moral quality to be better adapted to the information age.In modern long-distance higher education, the political theory teaching must be strengthened and improved. The long-life studying system should be built to meet the opportunity and challenge brought by the network and the demand for the entity personality in modern long-distance education, and to adjust to the transitional period of the modern long-distance learning mode.Comparing with the traditional adult education, a great improvement has been made in the teaching mode of the political theory in modern long-distance learning, but there is still much room. For example, teaching resources are insufficient, teachers have limited experience, students are not used to the way of long-distance education, it's difficult to involve emotion in the communication between the computer and the user, etc. These factors have a negative influence on the teaching quality.As to the solution to this problem, I think there are two respects deserving our consideration. Firstly, a new idea can be established which is the foundation of solving the problem in long-distance education, such as the idea of student-centered teaching, the transformation of the teacher's role, and the service of teaching. Secondly, the measures strengthening the learning should be probed into, such as strengthening the construction of the teaching staff, improving teaching service system, cultivating student's independent learning ability, establishing a campus culture with the characteristics of long-distance education, etc. I hope these approaches can help to probe a new teaching mode of the ideological and political theory.
