Corruption is widely seen as a cancer of the present-day society because it curbs social progress and disturbs the national economy and the people's livelihood. The crime should be effectively controlled and eliminated to ensure steady social progress and prosperity. The spread of bribery and embezzlement crimes in present-day society has not only corroded muscles and souls of the nation and depraved public morals, but also badly disturbed social and economic order, and hindered the smooth sailing of the nation political and economic reforms. Whether such crimes can be effectively contained and eliminated is a make-or-break issue to the modernization drive and long-term social stability. It is especially necessary to probe into bribery crime as an important part of corruption.Currently, there are a lot of questions concerning the crime of taking bribes which are worth further probing. And there are many things to be improved in legislation for the crime. Therefore, it is of great significance to correctly grasp connotation of the crime in order to analyze and solve questions which occur frequently in theory and practice.This article intends to make a comprehensive analysis on the crime from different perspectives, such as its constructive conditions, questions concerning indirect bribery crime, joint bribery crime and determination of the crimes..
