The people-rooted thought and the democracy are two extremely important categories in the politics theory. The people-rooted thought originates from the Yin & Zhou Dynasty period , which combines with the autocratic politics. Being based on the market economy, the modern democracy is a representative democracy. Protecting all the citizens' common interests, the modern democracy, which will be supervised by people, regards the individual freedom as the final purpose. Though the people-rooted thought is similar with the modern democracy on the surface, but they have much difference in essence. First of all, the economy that the two based on is different, the people-rooted thought is a result of natural economy, but the modern democracy is a result of the market economy. Secondly, the politics forms of the two are different, what the people-rooted thought reflected is a kind of politics which is autocratic and centralizing, traditional and irregular, but what modern democracy reflected is a kind of politics which is plural and decentralizing, legislative and regular. Moreover, the society ideas of the two are different, the people-rooted thought reflects the collective standard idea, but the modern democracy politics reflects the individual standard idea. Because of the fundamental difference, the Chinese traditional people-rooted thought won't transform to the modern democracy.
