The deepening on trade globalization not only have accelerated the development of economy but also given rise to a lot of social problems, among which the worsening of labor rights has recently seriously. The world society have meeting of minds that the International Labor Standards that set by International Labor Organization are the rules to protect the fundamental labor rights. But they argue sharply for the incorporation of International Labor Standards into the international trading regime under the WTO. Developed countries consider they protect labor standards far better than the developing countries, which increases their variable costs, thus increasing total production costs. The developing countries protect labor standards quite poorly which accordingly enables them to streamline variable costs. However, developing countries reject it flatly, viewing the proposals as an invasion of their sovereignty, an attempt to undermine their comparative advantage, and an effort to inject protectionism into the world trading system. The trade-labor linkage in the WTO will be the important issue which garner much of the debate within WTO trade negotiations. The paper focus on the Minimum Wage Standards, explain the concept of Minimum Wage Standards, and the significance of Minimum Wage Standards on the multilateral trading system. Consequently, the author hold that the Minimum Wage Standards will made the two sides of the contradiction reach the balance.China is a developing country and the member of WTO. An endless avoidance to the problem of wage should not be a proper attitude hold by China. The trade-labor linkage has political causes, as well as rationality. Thus, China should strive for the advantageous standpoint and the most benefits. Based on the analysis of Minimum Wage Standards, the author provide a new angle of view on the WTO trade negotiations, by taking the minimum wage system in China into consideration.
