The ESD is a visualized method to describe sequences of related events and can be seen as a general Event-Tree (ET). The ESD has the features of directness, trueness, easiness for mastering, being able to be qualitatively and quantitatively processed, and etc. The study and application of the ESD has great value in pushing dynamic PRA forward in engineering domains. This paper begins with the application of ESD in PRA, expands the existed framework,gives the feasible method of ESD analyze Maintenance-Support Process (MSP) and the basic thought of analyze maintenance support system. The main contents of this thesis are outlined as follows:(1) This paper introduces the basic factors of existed ESD framework and its application in PRA, explains how the method sustains PRA. Based on that, it generalizes the basic thought of founding ESD.(2) Based on the analysis of characteristics of maintenance support system and support resource, the expanding of ESD and its canonical definition were discussed. This paper advances the MSP method based on ESD, and gives the resolved scheme of the some problems in running model. Based on it, more research on the analyzed method of maintenance support based on ESD. It also gives basic scheme of maintenance time and maintenance resource.(3) If we found the ESD by handwork, the efficiency is low, the graphics isn't canonical and fallible, and furthermore, we possibly can't do it because of tremendous workload and complicated process. The method of computer aided ESD model is the effective approach accounting for such problems. The thesis proposes the whole framework of CAESDS, finishes the elementary function of graphics modeling and analysis; it settles the groundwork of the more perfect software.Finally, the MSP of organic arming system is analyzed on the basis of the improved ESD and computer-aided ESD software. This sample shows the advantages of computer-aided ESD analyze technology in modeling MSP.
