On The Legal Protection Of Online Anonymity Privacy

With the development of information technology as well as the advent and popularization of the internet, people all around the world have stepped into a new age of information. As everywhere all over the world has been closely connected, it is more and more convenient for people to obtain and disseminate the information. However, while embracing the benefit of this new era, we are tearing down the doors to our privacies as well. The regulation to guarantee the online anonymity privacy is thus stipulated. Due to the diversifications in economy, politics, culture, and history among different countries, the lawful protections of online anonymity privacy varied. Since China is a country with different legal regions, there exist some conflicts concerning this protection that needs to be settled among Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Our affiliation into the WTO, which accelerates our paces into the internationalized standards, calls for necessary revisions of some laws and regulations in our country so as to meet the demands of legal globalization.Fully utilizing approaches such as definition and comparative analysis, supported by some successful examples concerning legislation practices from abroad, this paper focuses on the current situations of online anonymity privacy at home and abroad. Via this study, the author elaborates in this paper the drawbacks of Chinese protection concerning online anonymity privacy and the optimizing process that we should take to perfect it. Hopefully, these suggestions about optimizing the legislation would be conducive to the future legislations on Chinese online anonymity privacy protection.Apart from the introduction and conclusion, this paper can be divided into three chapters:The first chapter is the brief introduction of online anonymity privacy that includes definition, its characteristics as well as the range, foundation, and significance of the legal protection.
