On Corporate Social Responsibility

There are several viewpoints disputing fiercely since theory of corporate social responsibility was put forward in 1920s.At present, however, the majority of experts and scholars believe that the company should bear their social responsibility, what's more, many countries' law, including China Company Law have explicit provisions in this aspect. But the responsibility is far from real carried out, and the events that companies violated their legal responsibility which has already threaten the harmonious relationship between human and nature and even the sustainable strategy are getting more and more intense. In order to solve this problem effectively, we analyze those issue deeply: the origin and main schools of this theory in its developing process, the relative theory and practice of western and China, then drew a conclusion about why it's so difficult to make companies bear their social responsibility according to China's practice, and during this process, several methods, including historical analyzing, economics of law, sociology of law , demonstration analyzing etc are used. Aimed at those syndromes, we put forward our countermeasures in law, politics and public administration fields.The thesis is composed of five parts among which the last part is the focal point in this paper. In the first part, the historical development of this theory is detected carefully. In the second part, the theory's research and law-making practicing is discussed, and we state the theory basic and practice urgency for corporate to bear its social responsibility in the third part. After analyzing the key reasons why it is so difficult for the theory to be put into practice in the fourth part, the concrete advice and count measures are brought forth in the last part. Corporate social responsibility is first put forward by socialist, and after borrowed by legist, it was limited in law ring to discuss. Many experts and legists want to solve this problem through complementing and designing law system only to find themselves slump into blunder in which law is considered omnipotence because the issue can't be solved just in law field. To solve the problem completely, we need thinking clue and method which may be found in law, economics, sociology etc. Additionally, all aspects and elements of the whole society should be mobilized to participate in this complex social project. Only in this way, can an ideal solution be got. So finally, we bring forward our measures and advice from the angle of such view: to design and complement law system and to reform political system, public administration etc.
