| The problem of terrorism has a long history, from the assassinated Archduke Franzc Ferdinand who is the future emperor of Empire of Austria on the eve of the world warâ… to the terrorist attack into America in the September eleventh, both are completely different in form, and widely different in social conditions. However, there is striking resemblance in the aspect of both trying to put grit in the machine some political course. So, whatever changes of terrorism take place, the intrinsical character will not change. Terrorism is a kind of complicated political and social phenomenon. It achieves their goals through making psychological panic by fatal shock to some target.Based on the above viewpoints, the author reviews historically terrorism in the first place. The author retrospects the evolvement process of terrorism concept briefly, and forecasts the development trends of terrorism in the future. In succession, the author analyses the primary characteristics of terrorism. Firstly, members of terrorist group are illiberally extreme. Secondly, political nature is not one of the leading symbols of terrorism any more. Thirdly, terrorist groups are good at making use of media in order to magnify terror. Choosing some objective, mapping tactics out, grasping at any opportunity and counterchanging modes are the basal strategies of psychological operations of terrorism. Moreover, the author dissertates on the strategies of psychological attack of anti-terrorism in the four different ways. Politically, terrorism is the common enemy of human. Militarily, people manage the different means of struggle synthetically. Diplomatically, people cut down gradually existing space of terrorists. We should develop high pressure to terrorism from the public voice. On the psychological defense, the author dissertates on the strategies of psychological defense of anti-terrorism in the three different ways. It includes regulating the mechanism of psychological defense, choosing positive means of psychological defense and broadening methods of psychological defense. |
