The era of Maoï¹£Zedong is a special era in Chinese history. The political stability lasted several decades along with continuous political movements and phantasmagoric political strife. The type of political stability was mainly embodied: the steady regime of the state; the steady authority of the chief; the steady mentality of the people. The reason of the political stability in the era of Maoï¹£Zedong has several facets as follows:The economic reason: Chinese Communist established the original modern industrial system, improved the standard of living of the people by renewing economy and carrying out agrarian reform and developing industry energetically and so on. Thus, it provided the economical guarantee for the political stability.The political reason: The political validity of Chinese Communist and Maoï¹£Zedong's charm made the crowd identify with the Party and Maoï¹£Zedong to heavens. Furthermore, the crowd was for socialism ardently. So this made the political stability acquire far-ranging support. The state strengthened control to the society by some systems and policies. Besides the state attained socialization successfully by mobilization, namely political education and political movements. Accordingly, the political system kept steady. The strife of the ideology was very poignant either inside or outside. So the political surrounding was close relatively and the exterior impingement was unobvious.The cultural and mental reason: The people longed for Man of God in the traditional culture in china. This was the origin that the people supported even adored Maoï¹£Zedong. Owing to the fiery emotion of nationalism and the aspiration to Communism, the people's cognition was uniform. Accordingly, the political stability obtained sustentation in mentality.In the era of Maoï¹£Zedong , the political stability is a type of stability in centralization of state power based on the planned economy. It belongs to a type of adaptive stability which is low-level, but it is reasonable in the era. With the development of the economy and the society, the type of stability should be transformed democratic stability. Thus, a type of favorable high-level stability will be erected.
