Analysis On The Status Quo, Characteristics And Trends Of Sino-Africa Relations In The 21st Century

The friendship between China and Africa has a long history. Sino-Africa relations have been a cornerstone of China's diplomatic policy and play an important role in china' foreign strategy since the People's Republic of China was founded. In the new century, with the gradual development of African countries' political and economic situation, and especially with the enhancement of its importance on the Energy and Anti-terrorist aspects, Western grand countries has carefully examined this " disserted continent" again and Africa strengthened its international status. China intends to walk into peaceful road and realize the aims of comprehensive construction well-off society in the first twenty years of this century, and so it is necessary to create good environment. To display the diplomatic function and vigorously develop the relations with Africa will become of great significance to accomplish strategic goals.Since new century, the first session of China and Africa Cooperation Forum opened new era of the relations between china and Africa. Both sides continue to enhance bilateral friendly cooperation ties on the basis of maintaining traditional friendship. This thesis comprehensively elaborates Sino-Africa links and then generalizes the characteristics, the existed problems and the prospect of their relations. Eventually, the thesis thinks that, Sino-Afi'ica relations face a crucial strategic opportunity in the new century and have common tasks and broad room for cooperation and development. As long as both sides make joint-effort and abide by the principles of mutual beneficial cooperation, Sino-Africa cooperation will gain greater development in the 21 st century.
