China-EU relationship is one of the most important issues in contemporary international relations. The development of China-EU relations is of great significance for the development of Asia-Pacific region and even the world. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and EU and the 50th anniversary of the foundation of EC(EU predecessor), the paper will explore again the Sino-EU relations from the angle of EU's common policy towards China. The paper consists of four parts. The first part reviews the development history of EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy and, specifies in details EU's common policy towards China. The second parts mainly talks about the impacts of EU's common policy towards China on China-EU relations. The third part briefs out the advantages and disadvantages for China-EU relations and predicts of the trend of future China-EU relations. The fourth part, the conclusion part, arrives at a conclusion of and attempts to put forward some advice for China on how to further promote China-EU relations. China-EU relations are highly complementary, but because of the differences, both sides are inevitably confronted with contradictions and conflicts. On the whole, however, dialogue and cooperation prevail in China-EU relations. As long as both parties uphold the spirit of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, seeking common ground while reserving differences and deepening cooperation in order to expand common interests, China-EU comprehensive strategic partnership is to be developing positively healthily and sustain ably.
