The Information Disclosure System (hereafter referred to as IDS) of listed companies is the core of the whole securities market and the focus of attention in legal and financial fields Recently, the fact that a series of laws and regulations related to IDS adopted by the securities supervision department of China, most of which are aimed at improving the IDS of listed companies, shows that the securities supervision department has a high regard to the system. The dissertation begins with the problems and damage arising from IDS, through the theory analysis, studies the IDS of the developed countries in a comparative way and further studies the IDS of listed companies of China, so as to put forward some constructive countermeasures.The dissertation is divided into four chapters. Chapter One elaborates on the significance, theory basis as well as law standards of IDS, and the key point of this part is aimed at perfecting IDS. Chapter Two goes on with a thorough analysis of problems arising from the IDS of listed companies and of its damage so as to show the necessity of IDS. Chapter Three introduces foreign IDS and its way of supervision, by comparison of the IDS of mainly with the United States and Japan and China. Chapter Four brings forward some suggestions on the perfection of the IDS of listed companies of China.The author holds that the perfection of IDS has great theoretical and practical significance in strengthening the transparency of the IDS of listed companies, guaranteeing the quality of the information disclosed by listed companies, guarding against and solving market risks, better protecting the interest of investors and promoting the healthy development of the securities markets of China.
