The Sino-Japanese reconciliation mainly refers to the end of hostility or vicious competition, the establishment of mutual trust, the resolution of sharp disagreement and violent conflict, and the real establishment of reciprocal relations between these two countries on the basis of a foresighted strategy. The realization of the Sino-Japanese overall reconciliation has not been smooth since the end of Word War II. There are cooperation and disagreement in governmental and non-governmental terms. The Sino-Japanese reconciliation is mainly influenced by two types of factors: Japanese attitude towards the historical issues and its interfering in China's internal affairs. These create difficulties for the overall Sino-Japanese reconciliation so that this goal has not been achieved so far.How can we remove the difficulties in the development of the Sino-Japanese relations? How can we lead the Sino-Japanese relations to a healthier direction? How can we consolidate the current achievement of Sino-Japanese relations? This calls for more discussions on the topic of reconciliation. Although the international environment can exert great influence on the Sino-Japanese relations, a country's internal affairs is also a significant factor.Starting with the research into the Japanese internal affairs, the thesis focuses on how the organization structure of the Japanese political system influences the Sino-Japanese reconciliation. On the other hand, the thesis analyzes China's internal affairs which have great influence on the Sino-Japanese reconciliation. In the end, suggestions are proposed and prospects are anticipated.
