The Study On The Culture For Chinese Youth During The New Period

Youths, the independent social group, have not only exerted influence on the process and direction of social development, but especially played a very important part in building a harmonious society in China as well. The study on youths detes back to the middle of 1980s in China. As a major power of change, youths have created unique culture, for they are both the inheritor and creator of culture. Therefore, the study of youth culture is indispensable to youth study. The research on youth culture contributes to the mastery of the new trends and laws of youth culture in the new period, exact judgments of youths'current situation, and predication and mastery of the trace and trends of youth's group behavior. The analysis of the emerging problems in the development of youth culture and positive guidance toward its development will surely endure youths'healthy development for the benefit of both youths and social development. It is practically significant to build healthy and harmonious youth culture in order to solve youth problems in the new period.It includes four parts:Part I: Analysis of the basic concepts. The definition and illustration of the youth culture are conducive to re-evaluating youth culture. This part provides a theory premise for the study on Chinese Youth Problems through summarizing the research on the concepts of youth culture home and abroad and examining the connotation and denotation of youth culture.Part II: Analysis on the necessity of the youth culture study. It analyzes the vital importance of the study on Chinese youth problems from the perspective of demography; after that, it describes multiple functions that youth produces on both socialism culture and the overall development of youth themselves; at last, it expounds the roles of youth culture and carries out analysis and demonstration on the necessity of the study on youth culture,which provides the theoretical principle and the real value of the study.Part III: The Study on the Chinese Youth Culture under an ideal condition of space-time. It analyzes the development of youth culture and relevant problems under the time and space dimensions respectively: under the dimension of time,it reviews the youth culture development as well as the build-in problems ever since reform and opening-up, even dating from the may 4th movement of 1919; under the dimension of space, it mainly focuses on the positive and negative effects of internet culture starting from youth culture internal conflicts in the information age.Part V: Building a healthy and harmonious youth culture. It proposes the developmental direction and principles to build the Chinese youth culture on the basis of many acts, such as strengthening the theory study, optimizing the developmental condition, leading the value orientation, improving all kinds of policies, and so on. In this way, it also re-builds the new systems, new patterns and new environment, opening up a healthy and harmonious prospect of the development on Chinese youth culture.
