The Research On The Growth Problems Of A Special Group Of Children

At the Sino-Vietnam frontier region, there lived more than 20 Cross-border Ethnic Groups as Zhuang,Gin,Miao people etc.Because they are the same race similar to the frontier residents of Vietnam.These people, with the same language, same culture and same histroy,often marry each other.The marriage usually means to reproduce the kids, including the kids born in China after getting married and kids born at the neighboring country whom some women taken into China.At the Chinese frontier region, the quantity of this kind of children is very large.Among the Sino-Vietnam frontier multinational-marriage-kids, some,who born in China, have the the Chinese nationality;but others,who were taken into China have not.The child's mother is a foreigner, the father is Chinese. They all live in the secluded frontier region and also national minority regions. So, comparartively, the growth of the multinational- marriage-kids of the frontier region certainly have special virtus and exist some special problems.Problem First: National identification feelings incomplete. Some kids suffer the serious conflict because of having no Chinese nationality;while other kids with the Chinese nationality, widespread an highly approbation of his/her identity, and are proud of this identity. But, in their heart deeply, they feel hurt and can't become the integrity for their mother's identification for their mothers are not Chinese and their family fairly incomplete.Problem Second: The inhospitality of the political identification. As to the political culture, they widespread an approbation of socialism system and the leadership of Communism. At the same time, these children,who posite at the edge of China, seem to express more political inhospitality than the general kids. In further, because they lived in the remit district of political culture in China and neighboring country, they get more easily subject to impact of the polition.Problem Third: The conflict of the behavior norm. They lived on the frontier, where exist much crimes as smugglling, selling illegal drugs, turning to sell the women and children, illegal marriage, illegally staying etc. In this enviroment they sometimes feel lost under circumstances when there is a conflict between the ethnicity behavior norm and the law,even law norm exist conflict with the neighboring country.Problem Firth: The language advantage threat to lose. They are cross-border ethnics on the frontier and have communicatable language with each other. So, they have superior condition for studying neighboring country's language.But, this advantage has not conduct for they compelled to study English which has no advantage to them.Problem Fifth: The technical ability advantage forget. Their lived on the frontier where various culture converged, handing over the convenient multinational and cross-cultural interaction advantage.But, they are deficient in technical ability and experienced a hardrous life.The special problems ,the frontier multinational-marriage-kids meeted in a growth process, need more concern. We must create better acculturation condition for them.As to the family aspect, their families'incompetence need to know, their hardness in conducting the family function need to emphsize, and especially they need our help to solve the special difficulties. As to the elmentary education aspect,their educational privillege should be satisfied and their cater for special education need to be seriously considered.As to the social aspect, they need more sun shine on their problems with more peopel's comprehension,toleration and help.
