This article probes the historical evolution of Japanese leaders visiting the Yasukuni Shrine issue and the situation of Japan at home and abroad in recent years. It analyzes the motives and intentions of Japanese officials visiting the Yasukuni Shrine, predicts the tendency of Yasukuni Shrine issue and looks for China's strategy to deal with it. All these are based on the analysis of imperfection of democratic reform, the promoting of the right-wing forces, Japan's national development strategy and unique cultural traditions and national mentality. It focuses on the root causes of the formation of the post-war Yasukuni Shrine issue. The formation and development of post-war shrine is closely connected with Japan's unique cultural traditions and the impact of psychological factors. But it mainly results from Japan's post-war conservative political factors. The main purposes of Japanese officials visiting the Yasukuni Shrine are to look for the support from the right-wing forces in Japan, get rid of the historical burden of a defeated country, to become a normal country and realize the national goal of becoming a major political power. Although Prime Minister Abe maintains an ambiguous strategy in the Shrine issue and adjust diplomacy to China after taking office, however, Japan's national strategic objectives have not been changed. What should China do to deal with it? This paper explores China's strategy in the new situation on the basis of long term development strategy and recent measures to be taken.
