Since the middle of 1980s, the Green Movement and Ecological Parties in the Former Soviet Union and the Eastern Europe, having thrived rapidly, constitutes one major feature of the European Green Politics. The phenomenon, on one hand, results from the effects from the theories, organization and activity of Western European Green Parties. On the other hand, it roots deeply in economy, politics, culture background and the special society conditions in these areas. It becomes one part embodying the uniqueness of the time and the area in the course of the European Green Party's development.This dissertation: makes a study from the view point of parties on the Green Party Politics in the Former Soviet Union and the Eastern Europe. It did some specific research bases on the NEW idea--the Green Parties, to enrich the data for the Green Party research in China. Under the principle of the combination of the history with theory ,this dissertation, from the perspective of the party politics, makes a relative systematic analysis and demonstration on the Green Parties'development, primary ideas, policies and the developing trend of the Former Soviet Union and the Eastern Europe in order to have a more comprehensive understanding on the Green Party Politics and its latest development in this area.
