Modern, knowledge and politics are not two concepts that can be apposed, strictly speaking, knowledge and philosophy may be apposite, political science is part of knowledge, and philosophy is just one of all the subjects. In ancient Greece, most people, especially Plato thought that knowledge was disquisitive object of philosophy and mostly, politics was practice and practice was directed by knowledge. Knowledge and politics can be apposite and the combination of knowledge and politics was what philosophy should focus on. He thought that the real justicial city-state in which the combination of knowledge and politics was perfect. It is the primary content of this paper.First, the paper discusses the social status quo of Greek time and the characteristics of system of city-state, summarizes the sociopolitical theories before Socrates and their influence on Plato, and, considers the change and the form of Plato's thought by discussing life and philosophy idea of his teacher Socrates.Second, the paper discusses Plato's primary philosophy idea form three aspects. In the aspect of knowledge, he opposed relative knowledge of sophists. And he thought people should seek absolute knowledge of good;in the aspect of politics, he thought people should not seek fame and benefits but should seek city-state's virtue and justice;in the aspect of divinity, he thought the fairy tale should not be full of real-life expedience and combat, the nature of God is good.Finally, by studying Plato's The Republic and his life, the paper analyses the Ruritanian characters and essence which is the relationship of knowledge and politics, and, points out that building the ideal country which is ruled by king of philosophy and this actually is Plato's ideal of philosophy. The king of philosophy is the core of Plato's ideal of philosophy.
