In recent 20 years, the study on the issue of civil society is just on the way. Under the different cultural region and social background, many philosophers all use the term 'civil society' to express the different theoretical purposes and realistic attention .It is not only the 'unique words' of certain culture , but also the inevitable end of the development of market economy. What have become the imperative tasks of studying the theory of civil society is to analyze and hold the limit between civil society and national political power in order to prompt the socialist modern construction of our country. The way of contemporary civil society studying is back to see the development of civil society. The theory of civil society walks through three stages: from the identity of concept in ancient to the divide of concept in modern between country and civil society. Lock enlightened the study of modern civil society, then Hegel made the theory mature . Marx develops the useful, discards the useless of the theory of civil society, and establishes the theory of which country is decided by civil society. Marx's civil society which consists of great theoretical significance and realistic value is the peak of the second stage of civil society. The dissertation outlines and analyzes the theoretical way and general rules of the development of civil society. It has the important guide meaning for the good and quick development of contemporary civil society to analyze and inspect the theory of civil society especially of Marx's civil society.Civil society has been seen as political society and country. Modern 'civil society' is a idea parallel to commercial economy. In modern western society, when the thinkers such as Lock begin to look for the foundation for commercial economy, at the same time, try to interpret the born and the nature of country, the idea of civil society has existed. It is the turning point in the history of civil society that Hegel ends the idea of which traditional philosophy makes the civil society identity to political country which strips the concept of civil social from the concept of political country at the first.Marx critically inherits the theory of Hegel's civil society which is the basic stone of Marx's theory. His declaration of which civil society is a social organization developing directly from the production and communication is an illustration to the nature of civil society, and a wholly hold to all material communicational relations in market economical society. Economical communicational relation in market economical society is just the nature of all social material relation. Marx reveals the limitation of political liberty through the analysis full of dialetics to civil society, so that he relates overcoming civil society to transcending political liberty. From the political liberty to human liberty is the main subject of Marx's political thought.
