Discussion On Changes And Significance Of Temperate Social Development Theory

Development is one of eternal subjects in the civilized society, which has been discussed in human's peculiar way since the appearance of human being. Development view reasonably uncovers regularity of social development and designs the whole target of development. It means, philosophically explained, the whole idea and fundamental view of economy and society development. The understanding of development will be more and more deeper, and the meaning of it will be more and more richer, with human society progressing. Generally speaking, since the appearance of human being, there has been two aspects of development: one is development of material, i.e. economic development; the other is development of people, i.e. social development. The serious social development theory ,however, came into being after August ? Comte Proposed a new discipline concept-sociology-in 1838,which includes Marxist social development theory. Social development theory, as we call, is systematical,normalized rational knowledge and abstract summarization of social development process and regularity, the form and development of which have got through a long evolutional way. Social development is always major social issue, and thinkers of different periods has researched the question of social development, illustrated the theory of target,mode,strategy and way of social development, and formulated their own thinking of social development. Based on analysis of changes of temperate social development theory, I discuss five following changes of social development in this paper: the content of theory changes from single-faceted economic growth view to all-round development view; theoretical emphasis changes from material-oriented to people-oriented; strategy changes from single economic growth to sustainable development; path of development changes from theory of the European center to multi-theory; the way of thinking changes from linear thinking to nonlinear thinking. Therefore, the significance and enlightenment of research of social development for constructing harmonious socialist society is analyzed in this paper.That is to say, reviewing Marxist social development theory and changes of social development and grasping their spirit essence comprehensively and exactly, are great important now to enlighten us on cultivating scientific development view,constructing harmonious society.
