The Studying Of Liang Qichao's Political Philosophy

Although Liang Qichao's political views were changeable, they were logic in the process of development. Firstly Darwinism as generally acknowledged truth had left a great impact on him, which is reflected in the concept of "power politics" and "mass control". Secondly it is known that essential prerequisite and suppositions were necessary for the ideological system and political order to take shape. In term of this, the theory of human nature should be taken into consideration. Under the influence of Bian Qin, Mr. Liang stuck to the policy of dualism, believing that human nature was maneuverable, good and evil at the same time. While in the theory of knowledge, humans were regarded as rational beings with a free will. Though democracy was mainly advocated to promote the prosperity of the country, the social trend of "freedom, rights and equality" has been irreversible, replacing the old tradition of "the laws of God" and becoming the authoritative principles under a new political system.When the old feudal order had disintegrated, Liang Qichao took up the activity of reconstructing a new political system. With the power of the state as the top priority, with democracy as the core value and constitutionalism as the main feature, he constructed an ideal new nation.
