In recent years, with the efforts of Chen Shuibian-led Taiwan separatists to seek independence have been escalating. In the meantime, the U.S. government has been supporting the Taiwan authorities, in the fear of a powerful unified China and with an aim to ensure its political and economic benefits in the Asia-Pacific region, and for its hegemonism. With the unification of the motherland being hindered, the possibility of a peaceful reunification has been fading away, the factors of a war are being accumulated. When it comes to safeguard China's state sovereignty and territorial integrity, when it comes to use military force as a last resort to solve the Taiwan issue, it will not just be a military battle against the Taiwan authority, it will also be a political and international battle in this modern era. With the guarantee of powerful and fierce military attacks, we should also make the most of international laws, tie military actions with legitimate actions, acknowledge fully the importance and necessity of the use of international laws during the course of a military action, publicize and defend the legitimacy and righteousness of the war against the Taiwan authority effortlessly, expose and refute the ridiculous remarks of international anti-China forces and Taiwan separatists, take precautions and curb effectively all possible actions the U.S. government may take in the war against Taiwan, seek the sympathy and support of the international society in a broad way. In addition, during the actual war, while adhering to the principles of the laws of war, we should also take advantage of the freedom they provide to maximize our fighting force, meanwhile, we shall use the principles of the laws of war to pressurize and weaken our enemy, aiming to guarantee an all-round victory against the Taiwan authority, both militarily and politically.
