Sea battle-field situation simulation system plays an important role in information acquiring, tactics evaluation and command training for navy in modern information warfare.At present, the aircraft carrier in China has just begun to work, there is no battle-field simulation system designed specifically for the aircraft carrier formation training. And the present sea battle-field situation simulation systems are mostly shown by two-dimensional situation maps, which could not provide direct demonstration for battlefield environment and force distribution. For those problems mentioned above, this article uses Modular components modeling approach developing sea battle-field situation simulation system based on HLA, which has the advantage of reusability and better extensibility compared with other simulation systems?This article makes distributed three-dimensional sea battle-field situation system come true, and the system builds network platform with HLA protocol, creates entity model with modular components modeling approach and develops front-end and back-end simulation applications with VR-Forces API to guarantee simulation operation's real-time capability as well as simulation development 's reusability and extensibility. In order to achieve a visual display of the battlefield environment, this article established the 2D environment model based on two-dimensional visual database and established three-dimensional environment model based on Digital elevation model(DEM) data. The article also gives the sources and the processing methods of DEM data. In addition, building the three-dimensional environment model also used Global tile segmentation algorithm, The terrain grid multi-resolution modeling method, Incremental data storage algorithm and mipmappin technology which increased the rendering speed of the computer. This article brings up a behavior simulation framework for entity which are constituted by components,and then to realized the modeling of aircraft carrier platform and radar component based on this framework?At last the validity of the modeling of radar component is proved by radar component functional simulation. The troop constitutes and the battle formation during air defense of aircraft carrier battle groups are designed. And the simulation scenario is driven by entity plan. This article also proposed the calculation model of electromagnetic situation in sea battle-field and rendering the electromagnetic situation of sea battle-field in virtual sea battle-field environment.Sea battle-field simulation system, which is able to simulate the warfare behavior of naval fleet and show the situation of battlefield under the real or imaginary scenario, offer a good way of battlefield information perception and deep information mining for the navy simulation training and tactical assessment.
