Statistical Analysis And Strategy Research On The MPA's Topic Of Graduated Thesis In China

The MPA program finally landed in China in 2001 after years of preparation mainly as a result of domestic academic development in administeative science and the specialization and professionalization of public servants with the expansion and greater complexity of administeatice functions. Nowadays, MPA plays an important role in Chinese post-graduate education. But MPA education has just begun in China, particular in the research of MPA thesis's subject and database. MPA's training model, thesis's design, the selection of topics and writing requirements are in a state of flux norms. The author of thsis hopes to suggest some useful measures in order to address China's current problem in the MPA's thesis profram by discussing and analyzing data from nine schools and America's more successful ecperience petinent to MPA.Basing on the statistical analysis, the thesis probes into the characteristics of topics of MPA graduated thesis. The thesis achieves its goal theough bservations and analysis in three steps. Fiest, it gives an overview of MPA thesis: the fieds is wide, but its distribution is not balanced. Second, this thesis analyzes the topics of MPA graduated thesis in detail, focusing on its special topics and schools, pointing out that the emphasis on topics. And we find that although the topics from different schools have different features because of the intrinsic factors and extrinstic factors, the features is not obvious. Third, the thesis analyzes the topics of US MPA graduated thesis, focusing on the fields, types and the features of different schools.And we find that there is gaps about topics between China and US MPA graduated thesis. At last, we suggest some measures in order to improve the level of the topics of MPA graduated thesis.
