On The Poverty Of Rural Elderly Population And Construction Of The Elderly Security System

On the basis of investigation, this dissertation analyses the causes of elderly population poverty and the construction of the elderly person social security system of rural China. With the transition of rural economic scheme, the rural society has been being in the stage of modern society. The aging problem is becoming more serious, the family structure has changed. All these backgrounds makes our society be "crack"and affects the elderly population life. The dissertation takes in process and action analysis framework to study types , causes population and its countermeasures of the poverty of rural elderly. From the process perspective, multiple causes of the elderly popuiation poverty are argued in the dissertation. These causes include three aspects:firstly, it is lack of formal system, exclusion of policy and lack of non-formal network. secondly ,it concerns cultural causes, among which are virtual idea and life style. lastly it is about the household and individual. Seeing the anti-elderly poverty practice from practice, we should take actions as follows: Firstly, the function of public management of government should be valued, especially the function in constructing the multiple systems of rural elderly population security. Secondly to make the society and household be valued of alleviation the poverty. At last, to change the passive traditional idea of the poor is useful. Only thus can the rural elderly poverty be alleviated and even to be solved.
