Interpretation And Construction: Marxist Feminist Theory With Chinese Characteristics In China

Marxist Feminist Theory is of great importance to women's liberation practice in China, it is the first systematic theory which played the guiding role in Chinese women's liberation .In the Interpretation and application of the theory, the Chinese Communists combined it with the historical background and the concrete national conditions of China, and the theory had made much improvement in this process.This paper analyzes the process of Marxist Feminist Theory localization in China. A case analysis of Mao Tse-Tung thought on women will be taken. By comparing the different content and emphasis point of Mao Tse-Tung thought on women, the influence of the social background on the interpretation of Marxist feminist theory will be understood, and the overall grasp of the process of Marxist Feminist Theory localization in China will be achieved.This paper thinks that the contents of Marxist feminist theory under different social background have some common features, and also have some different emphasis points. This condition is the embodiment of the total representation of Marxist feminist theory which was used in Chinese women's liberation, and is also the result of the combination of Marxist feminist theory and the social background. In addition, Marxist feminist theory with Chinese characteristics plays a great guiding role in Chinese women's liberation. On the one hand, it reduced the resistance in women's liberation greatly; on the other hand, it also led to the situation that the female discourse was masked by the national discourses.
