The generation of Jiang Zemin's class theory has its specific academy resource, background and practical foundations. Marxism, especially the thought of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping about class are the source of Jiang Zemin'class theory. Its background is the theme of times of peace and development and the stage of our society's entering into an accelerated transitional period. And its practical foundation is the lessons of the attitude to what is main social contradiction and the problem of class conflicts after our state's building.Main contest of class theory of Jiang Zemin is the analysis and thought to our social class such as the working class, peasant class, intelligentsias and new social classes. These analysis and thought are guided by Marxism, established on china's reality, inheriting theories of Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping, perfecting old man's feeling, and reveal the unity and continuity of the development of class theory. While Jiang Zemin worked on the current china's social class scheme, he combined analysis of class with hierarchy and focused on it.
