Youth ideological and political education is not without youth ideological and political education discipline theory. Youth ideological and political education discipline is a new comprehensive discipline. It is one of subject what studies formation and development of young people's ideological and political character, it studies features and development rules about the ideological and political education of young people too. Studying the formation process of youth ideological and political education discipline, grasping its features and positioning is of extremely important theoretical value and practical significance to enrich discipline theoretical system, to guide discipline construction and practice.On the basis of already-existed achievement, with Marxism as theoretical guidance, focus on the development of ideological and political education discipline, the thesis systematic studies youth ideological and political education discipline.The thesis would have guided function for development of youth ideological and political education discipline.The thesis includes four parts:Part I :The formation process of youth ideological and political education discipline. The first part gives a brife account of the formation conditions and process of youth ideological and political education discipline. The formation conditions includes the formation background, theoretical origin and practical basis. The formation of youth ideological and political education discipline is adapt to the needs of a development of the times. The exposition about the ideological and political education and youth of Marxist classical writers is the theoretical sources. Meanwhile, the moral culture about young people's ideological and political education in ancient Chinese is the theoretical sources too. Proletarian party's practice about ideological and political education of young people is the practical basis for the formation of youth ideological and political education discipline. Meanwhile, it is beneficial to learn from the youth ideological and political education practice of bourgeois. Youth ideological and political education discipline experienced the formation of a comprehensive exploration stage, the formation preliminary stage and the overall construction stage. The comprehensive exploration stage is from 1984 to 1987, the preliminary formation stage is from 1987 to 1999. Since 1999, it is the overall construction stage of youth ideological and political education subject.This part is the basis of the thesis.Part II : The positioning of youth ideological and political education discipline. Strengthening discipline construction is based on the premise that make discipline position true. This part analyses the main academic viewpoints of discipline positioning. Based on analysis, the thesis positions youth ideological and political education discipline from related disciplines. There are three different viewpoints: first,youth ideological and political education discipline is a branch of ideological and political education discipline; second, it is a branch of Pedagogics; third, it is a branch of Youth. Among them, the first one is appropriate. Then, the thesis analyses positioning of youth ideological and political education discipline in perspective of ideological and political education. Meanwile, the thesis analyses discipline positioning in perspective of Marxist theory and of sociology discipline.This part is the writing focus and difficult point.Part III: the features of youth ideological and political education discipline. Youth ideological and political education as a branch of ideological and political education discipline, as well as with some features of ideological and political education, it also has its own unique character.The features of youth ideological and political education discipline is the organic unity of science and ideology, comprehensive and independence, nationalism and opening, theoretical and practical subjects. This part is the theoretical foundation for the further study of the fourth part.Part IV: the construction of youth ideological and political education discipline. First, youth ideological and political education discipline construction must be under the guidance of Marxism. Marxism is the continuous development, the discipline construction should be guided with the basic theory of Marxism stand, viewpoint and method. Second, it should absorb nutrition of some related disciplines which include pedagogy, political science, psychology, talent studies, management and so on. Third, it should focus on the organic integration of theoretical study and practice. Deepen theoretical studies of youth ideological and political education discipline, it is necessary to further clarify the basic concepts and study object, to deepen theoretical system study, to deepen monograph. Meanwile, the discipline research must close to the practice of social development, it also focus on latest historical conditions and latest practice. Fourth, correctly handle the relations of succession and development, borrowing and innovation. Youth ideological and political education discipline needs to borrow, but also it should constantly enrich the theory to achieve the discipline continuous development. At the same time, it must be innovation on the basis of borrowing. Fifth, earnestly strengthen the construction of the discipline team. Subject to improve the structure and enhance the quality of team, and strengthen the strength of team. This part is the theoretical destination and focus in the thesis.
