Contemporary Youth. Modernism Under The Influence Of Ideological And Political Education Research

The rapid changes in Chinese society and unbalanced development brought huge impact on ideology changes of the contemporary youth, which presents with binary development characteristics of the thinking level of consciousness. On the one hand, traditional thinking is developing to modern thinking; on the other hand the modern thinking is developing to post-modern thinking. In the process of modernization of Chinese youth's thinking level of consciousness, Postmodernism, which is against fundamentalism, essentialism, rationality, and subject, emphasizes the uncertainties and the internality. It has profound influence on the development of Chinese youth's thinking.Since the development of modern ideological and political education has not been sufficient, contemporary ideological and political education is significantly challenged by Postmodernism. In this research, a combination of methods literature and non-structured interviews was adopted, which provides theoretical support and practical material for this study.The most outstanding performances of the impact of Postmodernism on ideological and political education of youth as: firstly, Postmodernism has negative influence on youths'subject consciousness, order consciousness and dialectical consciousness; secondly, it might cause youth decadent life attitude and the value orientation of the vulgarity;finally, it might challenge the mainstream ideology through the influence on youth groups. The widely spread of Postmodernism among youth groups brings great challenge to contemporary ideological and political education.The core mission of contemporary ideological and political education work is to achieve the modern transformation and postmodern adaption. By taking Marxism as the theoretical basis and consider Postmodernism as an important factor, to achieve innovation in ideological and political education of youth. Between which, it would be the key to the modern transformation of ideological education of youth that inheritance and development of Marxist theory. At the same time, it would be the core of postmodern adapting that to realize and correctly understand the positive function of Postmodernism. The critically theoretical intention of Marxism and Postmodernism all is for the sake of reconstruction and contribute. Ideological and political education of youth should adhere to the guiding ideology of Marxism, at the same time, critically absorb the beneficial ingredients of postmodern theory, so that, to achieve ideological and political education diversity and unify, individual care and social transcendence, the unity of science and ideology. Finally, the unity of young's free and all round development would be achieved.
