Though P.L.A. is paying more attention to the competence-building project of military officers along with the deep going Revolution in Military Affairs, the faultinesses of P.L.A. military officer evaluation system are slowing down the competence-building project. Thus, it is very important to do some research on the direct-level officers competence realm.In this thesis, we firstly analyse current task characteristic and competence essential of P.L.A.direct-level officers, then we expatiate the faultinesses of P.L.A. military officer evaluation system and put forward our probable solutions. In this thesis, we consider that it is feasible to complement the P.L.A. direct-level officer evaluation system by building Competence Model of Direct-level Officer, finally we demonstrate this proposition by doing demonstrational research on certain units.
