Analysis On Contemporary Working Class Consciousness In China

Class Consciousness Theory of Marxism mainly refers to the theory of Marx, Engel's and their successors, together with the practical summary under the guidance of this theory. Class consciousness is both a notion and a method to observe and analyze the society. In theory, it is always a guide for the proletarian to fight, and a key to further understand the theory. In practice, it is an important point to build socialism in the period of the current social transformation.From the angle of class consciousness, this article recalls its evolution, scientific connotation, formation, conditions and channels. Along with the social full transformation, the class consciousness of working class in contemporary China is disturbing--towards weakening and diluting. This article analyzes the weakening performances of the working class, and raises the principles, orientation and contents of strengthening the working class consciousness in the now era. Class consciousness is related to the success or failure of the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and of building a harmonious society. Under the influence of globalization as well as reform and opening up, to further improve the party's ability for governing and strengthening its class base, the formation of Party's class consciousness education must be carried on.
